Verde extends its warmest congratulations all the people of S\u00e3o Miguel and the local council on the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the Municipality of S\u00e3o Miguel, commending their tireless contribution, dedication and commitment to building an increasingly prosperous and cohesive municipality that offers opportunities for all.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">It is with this sense of responsibility, cooperation and closeness that the Government of Cape Verde reaffirms its firm commitment to the strategic development of the northern part of the island of Santiago, through the implementation of structural policies and investments that contribute to strengthening territorial cohesion and to the enhancement and modernisation of the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Against this backdrop, the Government will continue to resolutely strengthen support programmes for the primary sector, create better conditions for farmers, harness the potential of young people, and promote social and cultural initiatives that contribute to the sustained improvement of the quality of life of the people of S\u00e3o
