{"id":4343,"date":"2026-04-01T00:06:49","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T01:06:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consultoria.cv\/ministro-alexandre-monteiro-visita-a-localidade-de-monte-trigo\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T00:06:49","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T01:06:49","slug":"minister-alexandre-monteiro-visits-the-village-of-monte-trigo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consultoria.cv\/en\/ministro-alexandre-monteiro-visita-a-localidade-de-monte-trigo\/","title":{"rendered":"Minister Alexandre Monteiro visits the town of Monte Trigo"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>On Saturday 28 March, the Minister for Industry, Trade and Energy, Alexandre Monteiro, visited Monte Trigo to find out about the progress of the expansion project for the solar photovoltaic power station and the water desalination plant.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, the minister emphasised that the project represents a significant transformation of the area\u2019s energy and water supply systems. The new infrastructure will enable energy production capacity to be quadrupled, ensuring a 100% renewable supply, with a storage system capable of holding up to 800KWh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an investment representing a financial outlay of around 80,000 contos, funded by the Government of Cape Verde in partnership with the APP group. \u201dIt was a major challenge to organise the logistics for transporting large-scale equipment, and we had to use a helicopter to ensure it reached this remote and hard-to-access location,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The project also includes a water production component, which addresses the community\u2019s challenges in terms of both quantity and quality.
