TACV – Cabo Verde Airlines announced on Wednesday 29th that it has expanded its flight services to the island of Fogo, with two to three daily flights from Praia. “This increase not only makes it easier for residents to travel, but also attracts tourists keen to explore the natural and cultural beauty of this jewel of the Atlantic,” the company said in a statement.
“With an average of 15 return flights a week between Praia and São Filipe, the airline carried around 2,500 passengers between December 2024 and mid-January 2025”, announced TACV Cabo Verde Airlines, adding that “this growing flow of travellers reflects the appeal of the island of Fogo as an alternative tourist destination to sun and beach resorts, and the effectiveness of new routes in promoting tourism diversification and regional connectivity”.
